If you thought the Alchemist was inspiring..Try an interview with Paulo Coelho....WOW
July 22nd 2007 02:30
I guess I wouldn't have expected any less. I was getting my weekly dose of trash in my precious WHO magazine when to my surprise there was an article worth reading: An interview with Paulo Coelho, author of the Alchemist and many other inspirational books beloved my millions (he has actually sold 100million books)
I guess it is no surprise to anyone that the interview was probably more inspiring than his books, simply because this is a guy who LIVES and DOES: exactly what he preaches...here are some extracts, words of wisdon and all he is doing is describing his everyday life, now that is truly inspiring.....no BS...then again I might have this attitude if I had sold $100m books
The most inspiring thing is the guru of the meaning of life is still on a quest to find the meaning of life - makes me feel a lot better - He writes to understand himself better.
Here are some extracts
Q: What inspires you?
A: People. I write once every two years, it normally takes a month to write down, because the book is already in my heart. I keep on meeting people, travelling, doing things that I like to do. And then out of a conversation or a trip, inspiration comes. I don't take notes. I just live my life.
Q: What are you doing when not writing?
A: Living. THat keeps me very busy. I walk every day, i travel, I play archery, I have a normal life. I have my ups and downs, but I try to live my life as intensley as I can.
Q: What Philosophy do you live by?
A: I want to die while I'm still alive. I know a lot of people who are already dead; they walk, talk, eat, but they have lost their enthusiasm. I want to die with the smae enthusiasm that I had when i was a child.
P.S. Orblers before you run away from the computer to get out and live life he did say in the article that he loves blogging and spends a LOT of time doing it.....PHEW we are safe
P.P.S. his blog site is www.paulocoelhoblog.com
