IF SOMEONE WERE TRYING TO HURT YOUR FRIEND?

I read a story once, about three women walking in a mall parking lot, when one of the three's husband came behind them and started stabbing her in the back. The story was being told by one of the other women. She said there were people everywhere and not one of them made a move to help. She knew she had to do something and picked up a sign that was sitting near-by and started hitting him with it until he was out. She stopped him, but not in time to save her friend.
I watch movies where the plot has a woman screaming in the background watching someone else get beaten or killed. I know that if I saw this happening, I could not stand by screaming and watch it happen.
If someone tries to abduct you from a parking lot or on the street, make a huge ruckus. If attention is brought to the creep trying to take you, he will leave you alone. Even if he has a gun or a knife, chances are he will not want a witness to his crime. One thing to remember is the fact that once he takes you away from other people, he will most certainly kill you.
My mother-in-law was in a store parking lot in Florida, when a mugger tried to overtake her and steal her purse. He hit her in the face, but instead of giving up she punched and kicked him, hurting him until he ran off.
It broke my heart when the showed the video of that young girl going along with her killer, as if she knew him. DON'T go with anyone! He may give you a cut, but you can survive that. If fewer of us cooperated so readily, maybe this type of thing will lessen in frequency.
What would you do in this situation? Let me know, I'd love to hear from you.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
The Whole Truth
You are so right. I feel sick thinking of all of the women who have been killed just because they listened to their killer and believed that he would not hurt them if they came along quietly.
Actually there has never been anything too quiet about me when it came to confrontation.
