I Wish This Was 42 - by Dianna G

I Wish This Was 42 - June 2007

... ... The End... ...

June 28th 2007 15:45
And two years of my life come to a close when I leave Bowmore behind for the last time. Yesturday I went because it was the last day and I wanted to hang out with all my sevvie friends. (And get more emails, of course) So, instead of going to Mr. Smith's class (he had already kicked us out on Tuesday), I hung out with my Giftie friends.

We did a lot of nothing, mostly just hanging out. I couldn't believe that it was all over... I'm never gonna see 95% of the kids from Bowmore again. There are a couple going to my school next year, and there are some I refuse to stop being friends with. But most of them are gone for good as of last Friday or today, and a lot of them I won't miss.

I will miss my Sevvie friends though. And my Six friends, because the Gifties are 6/7 split. They were all really cool... especially the one who became known as 'my little sister', although we only met in February.

I don't think any one poem can quite cover what I feel. On one hand, I'm really, really excited-I'm free, I'm moving on, this is a GOOD thing, right? But on the other hand... all my friends are Sevvies, and I'm gonna miss them so much next year.

So we hung out for a long time. And I don't regret going for that one last day, and hanging out with all my seven friends. Even though I'll miss them, I'm sure we'll all see each other again.

Grad Poem

June 25th 2007 21:56
It's over,
And I'll never see
Most of you again
Now that these two years
Are at their end.

I don't regret,
Losing some friends
Or saying goodbye losers
To my sort of friends.

I'll barely miss you,
But now I've realizes
How much of an impact
You had in my life.

So I guess this is goodbye,
Losers,
I just might miss you,
But now we're free,
Moving on,
And someday
I hope we'll see,
Each other's faces.

Dedicated to: Julian, Jeremy, Bridgett, Shannon, Jazmine, Alizin, Molly, Taylor, Jordan,
Harry, and many more. I'll miss you-just a little!

Ezine update (IMPORTANT)

June 24th 2007 03:12
Writing Tomorrow Today is open for submissions until further notice.

This is because I have only one poem suitable that was submitted by a writer who will likely be frustrated that the ezine is coming out.

I was right to expect NADA in terms of submissions; the only other two I had were unsuitable, one barely revised. (It hurt my eyes.)

So I'm over here begging for submissions; the more the better. From young&adult writers (and young adult writers) to old people (over 35). I want your sci fi, your hopes for the future, everything. Whatever you have written, I would like to give it a chance as long as it fits the theme.

Summer is a slow time-and I'm eager to read, because I graduated on Friday! I promise I'll give your story a good chance.

Thanks.

For those of you who don't know, let me spell it out:

I'm. Not. Christian. Or Hindu. Or Muslim. Or Jewish

Enough break time.

June 17th 2007 21:23
So, today I have to finish this stupid 17-chapter autobiography for the Smith (by the way, I've counted and 13 best friends have come and gone... plus I have another 2...), and do my geography, and write an essay. Maybe start my screenplay, since I have an idea (and thirteen days), but there is something much, much more important to be done as well. That will provide many sleepless nights.

Today, I will print a very. very. very. long story. AKA, it's time to print my novel out, and butcher it with red pen. Over one hundred pages in 10pt. font and I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to it or not. Edits have always been painful for me, although I do them regularly and rigorously, with a tendency towards the cruel

Today of all days.

June 17th 2007 19:38
Who was it that decided that this day should be father's day, the corresponding date in may that of mothers? Why must they have days?

Do these people not realize how this singles out orphans? Children with only one parent

Spam, lovely...ew

June 13th 2007 20:05
First thing is first; let me say I haven't gotten anymore submissions. I'm extending the submission window to the 20th, because we have a single poem. (Wow, I feel special, A poem.)

My weekend was good, but busy; I had a get together on Friday, a birthday party on Saturday, and shoe shopping on Sunday. All in all, unable to do more than check my email. Monday I went to mother's boyfriend's to play video games, and yesturday same thing. I could have written, but didn't really have much to say

Graduation

June 8th 2007 22:04
The time draws nearer; 9 days of school left before graduation. I have a dress now, not my dream dress but a thirty-dollar find that used to be two hundred. Black and beautiful. Classy. Plain. It's a bit revealing, but it's nice.

On Sunday, we go shoe-shopping for grad. I already know what I want. Black shoes with little heels, little as in short, thin or thick. Nothing that shows off the feet too much-maybe a flip-flop sort of thing which covers the toes. I need a pair of flats, too, to run in; but those can wait. Anyway, we're going, me and my aunt, and we'll see what we see

Paris-A Disgrace

June 7th 2007 23:57
I don't normally write about celebs...

But this particular one has made me laugh and cringe. Paris Hilton is not talented. Unless you count at (apparently) pleasing men in bed. Actually, that's the only reason I know she exists. Who hasn't she slept with? (Answer: anyone not-famous. Anyone with a brain.) Paris just simply exists. She can't sing, or dance, or act. Wow

Traitor

June 6th 2007 20:36
I'm finished this novel, but that's not what I'm posting about.

Last Thursday, me and my ex-best friend got into a fight. My ex seemed to like her, and they spent a day together on the weekend; because she was so guilty, I pretended not to like him to try and cheer her up. She found out on Thursday that I had lied. All of a sudden, W didn't seem to know me anymore. She said she didn't want to be friends with me, or G, or my ex

You know how agents and editors who blog always complain about their slushpile? Well let me complain about mine.

It doesn't exist.

Good morning.

June 1st 2007 18:16
Yep, I woke up half an hour ago. Silly me. Missed school. That's OK, I'm done all the homework we have except for two massive projects. Which I'm going into panic attacks about.

First: We are now OFFICIALLY open for submissions at avidgamers.com/belair
