Wow, this city is definately number one for me. I loved New York so much.
Girls, if you are travelling to this wonderful town, don't pack much, save you money and spend up big in the big apple. So cheap for everything inside this concrete jungle.
For example, those of you who love make-up especially clinique, you can buy the perfectly real makeup for $17 USD. Roughly around $20 Australian dollars. For those of you who dont buy clinique makeup to give you some idea, if you buy it from australia it costs between 40-50 Australian dollars for a small tube.
Other good deals are clothes, shoes, accessories, food, coffee. Oh my god, just so good, and it really is the city that never sleeps. Central Park is everything you imagined. Oh and when you get home, you will not be able to sit through a movie or tv show based in new york without going, oh my god i have been there. So much to see.
Trust me do not take much with you because you will have to buy an extra suitcase....
Make sure you go to an ice hokey game, it is great, if not for the game itself, the watching of the fans. They get so worked up and fights break out among the crowds, its everything plus a bit more.
If you want to go and see a broadway show, try to book before you go over there, we stood in lines for ages only to be told that the shows were sold out.
If you are a fan of coffee, there is a starbucks on every corner, i think they said there is 270 starbucks cafes on the island of manhattan. Wow
Make sure you make a trip to the soup man. Best soup in the world. Just ask someone at the hotel where a soup man shop is beacause they are located all over the city. Another good food place is the cup cake shop, if go on the sex and the city tour they will take you to the famous cupcake shop. So yummy but you can only buy 8 per day. They have security guards and all.
Well enough from me i could go on for hours about New York and how great it is. Definately worth a trip, make sure you have at least two weeks to truely get a taste for this wonderful city.
Comedy at the same theatre Jerry Seindfield performed at is great. If you stand outside the shops at time square you are bound to pick up cheap comedy tickets. Well worth it, very funny, maybe not as funny as London though.
