I LOVE WRITING

I seriously don't know what I would do if I couldn't write anymore. No matter the situation in my life, I have relied on writing as a release of tension, a place I could go when life got a bit sticky.
I've always had a vivid imagination, when I was young and the only child still living at home, I needed that imagination to see me through many a lonely day. My mother always told me not to get dirty and that was my daily challenge. I would go about the day, living on desert islands, sitting by the lake (an extra large mud puddle), making mud pies for the cat, catching frogs and pollywogs in the ditch. I had a ball all by myself
As I got older and found it wasn't appropriate to sit beside a mud puddle, or bake delicious mud pies (my cat didn't like them anyway), and while I still liked frogs and toads, I thought I should keep my hands a bit cleaner. That's when I started keeping a diary.
My mother was very snoopy and tricky. If she would have found the diary she would have read it without remorse. So my adventures in writing began, I could go anywhere I wanted to and never leave home. I know this sounds crazy, but I looked forward to writing essays and book reports for school.
Writing has made me more attentive to my environment, I now see and hear more than I used to. Everyone I meet becomes a potential character in some suspenseful plot, every place I visit is a potential meeting place for crime and evil.
I do love to spin a yarn, tell a tale, and write about what's really going on in the world. I love to write, and it really doesn't matter what I am writing about, it always makes me feel better when I do.
What about you? What is your passion? Let me know I'd love to hear from you!
