Explosive vomit!

March 12th 2009 22:59
My eye lids creep back swimming in a sea of flashing lights, and dancing cows who hit the club...They'll never stomp out the last roach as he furiously counts down to launch when peace will come to all but him...And the twinkies.

Hey folk’s thanks for stopping by again the growth end of things has slowed a bit but we are staying steady with our numbers. So far I have a bit more done in the area of character development, hard to get much work done with term papers coming up. One thing for certain that I was able to decide on over the week was that I will definitely be writing in first person.
First person is probably my favorite writing style with the most recent titles I have read being “The Electric Church” and “Digital Plague” two books in the Avery Cates series. The books are gritty punk books with the main character desperately trying to eek out an existence as the unified world system tries to snuff out any chance.

Moving on up!

March 4th 2009 15:58
Hello folks! I am super glad to report that this blog is growing quite well even with my limited ability to promote it because of school work. We are getting larger and larger bumps of new traffic on posting days, and in between we have daily traffic that on average is showing half of our increasing number of readers are first time readers! Over on twitter under the id SethD I am also growing slowly in popularity which is pretty sweet.
Aside from this I have done a little more work on my book, and with some more planning I am hoping to be able to put up actual content for it on the web through this blog. The main characters name will be Tristen Everfield, which will go a little against the grain for a romance, not your standard strong feminine character of a Harlequin book for example. This is not to say that there will not be a strong female in his life though. Our heroine will be a lovable strong willed women causing just as much trouble as she does pleasure for the hero as she pushes the envelope of social acceptability in the name of passion!
My goal with this book is to be able to find a way to get it in the hands of as many possible without the need or goal to make millions (though I will take millions if it comes along) so that every one can see what I have crafted out of love for my beautiful fiancé. When the book is finished aside from offering it for free I will also be selling print on demand copies of it for those who want the hard back in their hands or just feel like offering some support

Cowboys and Crusaders

February 27th 2009 18:21
Hmmm, for any one reading I need some opinions on the back drop for my romance I am working on. Ultimately the story will take place nestled within the multidimensional setting I am doing “Ambiance” but the specific world within will be much like our own during the crusades. The Specific crusade will be the 8th crusade.
During this time period Muslim scientists had developed and conceptualized the use of gunpowder as a weapon, but no heavy development could be implemented. In this alternate history world the clock was pushed forward on the Muslim development of firearms so that they had implemented them in the 7th crusade to consolidate the moors in the Spanish peninsula to combat the rising Christian armies. The 7th crusade would end terribly for Christendom and the 8th would be pushed back until the Christians could capture the technology. The 8th crusade would be greatly dragged out having lasted 2 and a ˝ decades with six shooters and shell fed rifles.
Shanty towns have been cropped up in middle eastern cities, and western style “metropolises” forming around fortress cities. Armies will have been replaced with posies of knights from various knightly orders fighting skirmish conflicts

So I gave in and am now tweetering away here at twitter. I have chosen to do this for a couple reasons some of them business reasons but that is more stuff for SavetheJunkMail where you'll learn to get rich later and get free now. Also though because sometimes there are updates that are just to small to justify a full post.
Anyway the main reason I am here is to introduce my project that I will be working on here at this blog. For valentines day of the year 2010 (the year of my wedding) I want to give my fiancé something she will truly love; So I will be trying to write and dedicate a romance novel to here as it is her most favorite genre. I am in the process of reading "on writing romance" by Leigh Michaels. For those who are note interested in romance but love writing I highly. highly recommend this book. I have found many of the suggestions within it to be far superior to any other book on the subject. I was also interested to find the depth and quality of the market.
Regards, Seth Drebitko

Behold yea children of Amber

February 20th 2009 00:39
Hi folks just wanted to update you. I don’t have much time with school and all just wanted to give you and awesome book update! I have been (in the little spare time I have) reading "The Chronicles of Amber" an amazing 10 book series found in one awesome tomb. The first 5 books are one main character Corwin Prince of Amber, and the Second Series of books are a member of the family. The books are all beautifully written in first person, and chronicle a corrupt noble families dangerous exploits in a multidimensional setting.
Any way check out the Chronicle of Amber books (they are selling the set of 10 for like $10), they are probably my biggest inspiration for my Ambiance setting which I will be posting up at my main site Kobold Enterprise.
Regards, Seth Drebitko

Hello World

February 13th 2009 01:47
Hello folks my name is Seth and I am here to talk about what I love most writing! I am in the process of developing my writing career, both freelance and self published over at KoboldEnterprise.com. Another aspect of my company will be a slow development of book manufacturing, which we will be starting with saddle stitched books moving our way to perfect bound.
This blog will function to showcase some of my favorite books, writing techniques as well as a smattering of business strategy from my site in development (SaveTheJunkMail.com) much of which was influenced by some fantastic systems found here. If your a fellow blogger, aspiring affiliate marketer, or even an ambitious self publisher you can find some nuggets of wisdom there, and at my own personal website.
My goal since I work full time and go to school is to post here and on my other three blogs, as well as keep my newsletters up to date which means my personal projects will be a bit slow to blossom but have no fear they will
