I found a New Dr!!!
February 20th 2008 02:48
I've been sleeping ALOT!!!!
I have been tired alot, so I have just been sleeping like crazy. I don't get constant sleep so, I have to stay in bed longer to get enough sleep. I'm just listening to my body and thats the best think I can do right now.
I feel better about dumping my dr now. Was a little scare that it was the wrong decision, but MgGee's Womens hospital got me right in. I use to go there all the time, but three years ago just stopped. Hope that decision doesn't kill me. I got a new dr in their office. A women this time and I am happy about that. Dr. Lang. I see her on Friday. Hubby took off work on Friday to go with me. He'll work tomarow now instead. I hope she sets me up for my ultra sound FAST because this is already spread i'm sure. What else could it be growing all over my bladder??? Nothing that I know. If this is Ovarian cancer it's not good. I guessed i had cancer last time, six months before the DR knew. Didn't see it this time. Hope it's still early enough. i'm staying hopeful. Thats all you can do. i do lay in bed talking to hubby though. i'm only 39 and i don't want to die. We havent had our alone, retired time yet. I don't wnat to be robbed of that. I've had a wonderful life though and I have done more then most. It's hard not to be scared when you read about ovarian cancer. It's called the "Silent Killer" because by time they find it, it's too late. In 2007 22000 women where diognosed with it and 15000 of those died. Thats scary!!!
we have wonderful insurance. i feel wonderful about my decision to stop seeing my dr. MgGee is a wonderful hospital near Pittsburgh.

I'm glad you found a new doctor already. I think it's really good that you're resting and doing what your body needs. I'll be thinking of you on Friday,
Tracy

posted details about Doctor Holt's therapy, on your other psot about ovarian cancer, check it out, ring them up, and find out for yourself, this decision could be the one that saves your life, as against the usual route that may not.
cheers

that is good news, getting some medical action at last!
However, I would urge you to ring the clinic in Perth, on next Monday (your coming Sunday) now as it is closed on the weekend, and discuss your situation with them, then when you get results from your American specialists etc, you will be more informed and may know what to do.
The fact that your old doctor allowed you to get to this stage, pain etc, without investigtaing sounds, in the least, like malpractise.
However, having been involved in an action group years ago, trying to stop the government from dismantling our public health system, (and we were successful to some degree quietly), I was made aware of similar actions in the USA.
We corresponded with some American action groups assisting patients against insurers and discovered some doctors were instructed, by the patient's medical insurance company, not to inform the patient they had a grave illness requiring urgent medical treatment, until the end of the financial year, as they had already claimed the maximum and any more treatment would have eaten into the medical company's profit margins!!
Some of these patients died as a result. This was documented and proved.
I am not trying to alarm you, I just want you to be aware of the possibilities, incase your treatment is very expensive, and your insurance will not cover it, then you may have avenues with which to pursue legal action against your insurer and/or previous doctor, depending on the actual circumstances, of course.
Cheers TamTam...much love and keep us posted!!

I REALY liked my new dr yesterday. She set me up for an Ultra sound on Tuesday and then we will have better answers.
the dr that did my CT scan and gave me the cancer scrae is, i don't know what to say about him, but On the report, he put that my uteris was still in tact and I don't even have a Uteris anymore!!! lol, so maybe hopefully him giving me the cancer scare was wrong too but what was the horrible pain from??? something is wrong. his report also said there is buildup on my bladder and a spot on my liver. <shrugs>
we'll see!!! i like the nick name!!

now remember, tomorrow, your Sunday, ring the clinic in Oz, Perth, and get the low down over the phone, then depending on what they say, call them when you get the results, and then make the decision.
Personally, if it was me, I would take on the clinic treatment first if possible, as it is non intrusive, no surgery.
Show the site to your doctor as well, but be warned, the treatment has not been accepted by the larger community in medicine, because the governments will not back it, because the AMA (in Oz and probably USA) will not support it...drugs companies hate it...
Here is one of the case studies that should be of interest to you:
CASE HISTORY 10:
Male - Diagnosis and History: The patient had transitional cell cancer of the bladder which was removed surgically. The patient then had x-ray therapy to the pelvis. When the patient presented to Dr Holt he had recurrent bladder cancer, the base of the pelvis and multiple secondaries throughout the skeleton. Multiple treatments of the patient were undertaken with the effect that a complete resolution of all symptoms was observed. A bone scan taken three and a half years after the last treatment revealed healing to all the sites of the previous cancer.
Do not eat sugar anymore!!!
Check the site again, here.
