I asked "Why not me?"

Hi everyone,
I have something that I need to share with you. Last weekend I was involved in a five car accident. I am told that I was the one at fault. I take the witnesses word for this because I don't really know. I was not conscious right before the accident nor during the accident. I came to in the trauma ambulance after they hooked me up to the machines and as they were cutting my clothes off of my body.
I am on medications for seizures so I have to assume that I had an absence seizure at that time. I am elated and feel so blessed that though there were several totaled out and damaged cars, no one else got hurt. Thank you God!
I am told that I hit a telegram pole and bounced off causing others to crash into each other as they were trying to avoid me. I have visited the lot where the tow truck took my car and it is really bad. Both air bags came out. It is really a miracle that I am able to address you all.
What I am most happiest about though is that I did not cause health problems, injuries, or deaths to others. It is one thing to hurt yourself but to cause injuries to others is another thing. I have learned that no material things are as important as your life or the lives and well being of others. I could never ask "Why me". I know this will set me back for a while but I ask, "Why not me?" I have learned a very important lesson.
