Huntin' Buck

Last week, in my travels I came across these two pieces. The images really attracted me so when I brought them home for a closer inspection, I realised they are actually relics from the 1950's. The design is called Buck's County, and was dicontinued in America in about the mid 50's.
The shape of the cup, particularly the handle is so stylish.
And the design details are gorgeous
After a little bit of research, I discovered that all of the pieces in the set have a different set of images depicting amish country life, the details are amazing.
This would be the perfect daily use dinnerset for us, except for the fact that any child who broke a piece would have to be immediately killed. I think I'll make it a long term project to put a set together.
It's funny how these things cross my path.
