Oh ok thats interesting. So, is "orble" a website used by a lot of budding journalist hopefuls?
Because just scanning through some of the stuff in here, a lot of the blogs are really quite interesting.
I put up a short passage on children's literature, just before, and I'm worried now that its a bit rushed and low brow.
Nevertheless, I suppose that's how we are meant to improve in the long run.
The operating system of this site really is quite good, I'm already learning the ropes, and I like that there is the incentive to keep posting, in the prospetct of a personalised domain name such as yours.
All in all I'm most impressed!
I've heard a little about him, he's based in Queensland is he not?
What field of investigation is his main priority as a journalist? Or is he more focused on the nature of journalism in Australia, and obviously teaching?
Hi,
I wasn't sure of the best way to reply to your comment, as I'm still very new to Orble, so I thought I'd just comment one of your blogs.
I am starting my final year of school on Sydney, but my ambition is to do a media and communications degree, before trying my hand at journalism.
Having spoken to a couple of journalists and media folk in Sydney, they are all of the opinion that the only way to break into the niche of the media, is to write as much as I can, and gain as much exposure, critical appreciation and advice as possiible.
My friend put me onto Orble and I thought, what better way to gain such exposure?
In any case, thankyou for the interest, and I'm now wondering what studies have you, or are you doing?
I see you are heavily interested in AFL reporting, which is of real interest to me, as sports journalism is one of the major fields in which I would ultimately like to investigative as a journalist as well.
