Veggie Orgasm - by Sheetal Shah

How to snag a guy through food

February 2nd 2007 03:42

Yes girls, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Dan I and have been together for 4.5 yrs, and are now engaged! How, do you ask? It was a cup of Indian tea that did it. Dan was introduced to me at a cousin’s birthday party. I was instantly impressed by him, and we danced and talked all night. At the end of the night, I gave him my phone number (without him asking!). I was smitten and was hoping to meet him again.

Anyways, two days later, he sends me an SMS (SMS??) inviting me out for dinner with a group of friends. We sat together and talked and talked and talked. I can’t believe how much we had to say to each other! Anyways, later in the evening I invited him to my place for a cup of tea. I sat him on the couch and went off for a good 15 minutes, leaving him to wonder what had happened to me. In the end, I turned up with this cup of freshly brewed Indian tea, complete with spices and everything. Well, the rest as they say is history. We’ve been together ever since, and we still have so much to say to each other.

Indian Tea

Makes 2 cups

2 cups water
½ cup milk
2 teaspoons tea leaves (any brand)
Cinnamon stick
Sugar to taste (1-2 teaspoons per cup)

Optional:
Tea masala. This is basically a blend of spices that you can get at any Asian/Indian grocer. I suggest you add only a pinch if it’s the first time you’re trying it as the flavours can be strong.

1. Brew water, tea and cinnamon stick together for 10 minutes on a medium flame.
2. Add milk and sugar and brew for another 5 minutes. You will notice that the longer you boil the darker the brew turns.
3. Pour into a cup over a sieve, discarding the tea leaves and cinnamon.
4. Serve with your favourite biscuits.

Have any of you tried something like this on a guy that has worked wonders?

I've never tried Indian tea....

Congratulations on your engagement. My husband and I met at a Lebanese restaurant complete with a belly dancer and that hubba bubba stuff...

Oh wow, that sounds exotic. Have u ever tried the hubbly bubbly? I wanted to while I was traveling in the Middle East but women are not really allowed to do it in public places like restaurants, they can only do so in the privacy of their homes.

Yes, I've tried it a few times. It's quite bizarre but nice. It sounds like you've done quite a lot of travelling?

Yes, quite a bit. I was born in Malaysia, then spent 10 years in Singapore during my teenage years and now live in Melbourne, Australia! I have visited US, Europe, and parts of South-east Asia including India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. I love to travel. The next place I would like to go is Africa or Latin America.
