How to politely ask for money as a wedding gift

May 7th 2008 05:38
Category: No Category
Further to my previous post I found this poem which I thought was a polite way of asking people to provide a gift of money which we we included on our gift cards.

More than just kisses, so far we have shared
Our Home has been made, with love and care
Most things we need we have already got
And in our home I cannot fit a lot
A wishing well we thought would be great
But only if you wish to participate
A gift of money deposited into a well
Then make a wish, but sshh don’t tell
Then once we have replaced old with new
We can look back and say it was thanks to you

We had an online wishing well we got some contributions. Best of all we had a great day!
