How Freud Became A Leading Psychiatric and Psychoanalytic-Psychotic Expert?
Freud started out as a Physiological Reductionist!!!, surprising considering he work focuses on the psychological parts of the individual in a very non-biological examination Firstly a reductionist is someone that believes: "No other forces than the common physical-chemical ones are active within the organism." Therefore things such as the personality and psychological processes of individual can be reduced to that of their neurology. He initially started his research in physiology whereby he realized that there was more to the mind than biology. From there continued his research on hysteria via interaction with many of his Psychiatric patients. To think it was his patients that helped him develop some of his prominent works leading and establishing the foundation of psychoanalysis as is known and used today. Thus it was his patients which he used like guinea pigs were the reason why Freud turned on his Neurology and Physiology training to become a leading psychiatric and psychoanalytic Doctor. And began to reduce his findings to the focus on the psychological not physiological parts of the individual which caused them to go into a state of madness.
