How do we travel through our lives
And not see the days that escape;
That lie dormant under the bed
So that we regret their passing
As they are part of yesterday
And part of time we cannot buy.
How do we travel in our lives
And let days pass we may regret.
We have not lived enough to see
That every day that passes us
Is as the day ahead of us
Once full of promise and hard plans
Until we see it here, today
And let it slip away
For another dream tomorrow.
