To celebrate the beginning of the 12 days of Christmas, my family and I watch Pee Wee's Christmas Special every December 13th. I realize that Paul Reubens was using coke throughout most of the show's five seasons and that "Pee Wee" is actually a slang term for crack...go figure. I imagine the drug played no small role in the execution of 1988's Pee-wee's Playhouse Christmas Special. Pee-wee's Playhouse was subconsciously infecting the minds of children with a subversive (but oh so convincing) message of holiday naughtiness. The Christmas Special is a hands-down, balls out affair. (HA!) It is the greatest Christmas special ever to air on national television. Yep I said it!

I realize that Pee Wee is not for everyone but he has a special place in my heart. When my son was young we would watch Pee Wee every saturday morning over homemade pancakes or waffles.
Grinch would definitely be number 2!

haha! This show looks like an absolute riot. I have heard of Pee Wee but never actually seen any of his shows. Grace Jones on there would be enough to give the kids nightmares surely?

I love the Grace Jones esgment so much. KD Lang does a fab "Jingle Bell Rock" . I wish there was a youtube video of this available. Hope your 2008 Rocks it!

Pee Wee's Playhouse is so naughty! During this special...Floory (the talking floor) asks Miss Yvonne (his hot neighbor) to come stand over him so he can say hi! Good Lord... a shower is in order!
