Heart Disease

November 21st 2009 01:32
If you are worried about heart disease then you are going to want to lower your cholesterol and that means that you want to eat food that has more of the monounsaturated fat rather than the saturated fats. This is a great way to help reduce your risk of getting heart disease.

Vacations

November 21st 2009 01:22
I love to go on vacation with my family and I have learned from my mistakes that a hotel is not nearly as good as a great vacation rental. There have been many vacations that I have planned and have completely messed up because of the places that I have booked for my family. We have gone to a few places but our next destination is going to be a florida vacation....they have always wanted to go to Florida and I am not going to mess up this vacation with the place that we are going to stay. And it is never too early to plan that spring or even summer vacations!

Blow Dry You Hair

November 20th 2009 14:23
As the season changes and the weather gets colder I find myself blow drying my hair because I don't want it to freeze when I walk outside. A good tip for if you have to blow dry your hair is to keep the blow dryer at least 6 inches from your hair and you want to make sure that you are moving it aorund all the time so that you do not overheat your hair in just one area.

Clocks

November 20th 2009 14:06
My grandmother has a grandfathers clock and I have always loved it. There is something about one that is just so homey and just looks really nice in a dining room or a living room or even a hallway. My grandfather got it for my grandmother for their 25th anniversary and that was around 30 years ago now but it still looks absolutely beautiful and it still runs great. She says she wants to give it to me someday so that will be nice. She told me to never go out and get my own grandfathers clock because I was getting that one....and that was around 15 years ago...kinda wish that I just got my own at this point. There are so many great sites out there too and they even have a clocks blog which makes for interesting reading. I personally love the Howard Miller ones. I find them to be very elegant and very pretty. There is one that actually has a curio cabinet too which is perfect because I love curio cabinets. I have a few really pretty knick-knacks that would look lovely if they were be hind glass. They are crystal so the light in the curio cabint would make them look even prettier because they would sparkle so much more. Not to mention that I wouldn't have to worry about them breaking and I wouldn't have to worry about dusting them as well because they would be enclosed.

Breakfast

November 20th 2009 04:33
Make time to eat your breakfast...it really can help your performance throughout the day. And if you have children make sure that you give them breakfast because studies have proved that having breakfast will help to improved their schools performance. All it takes is 10 minutes to make a nice breakfast of eggs and toast - Yum!

Golfing Gift

November 20th 2009 04:08
Now is a great time to plan that great vacation. The weather is great this time of year to go golfing at Myrtle Beach. My father in law loves to golf and he would love to Golf Myrtle Beach style. The Myrtle Beach Golf Vacations are awesome and this would make for a fabulous gift actually. My husband had no idea what to get his dad for the holidays but now I know what I am going to suggest for him to get him. And my mother in law golfs as well...so this would be great.

And there are so many Myrtle Beach Golf Packages to choose from. Why not book a vacation at the best Myrtle Beach Golf course. You can live in luxury for a week and golf as much as you like. And with all the kids at school - these places will not be nearly as crowded as they were this summer. I am so glad I just thought of this

Breastfeeding

November 19th 2009 18:43
My sister in law had a baby last month and she has been trying to breastfeed and has even hired a consultant but it is just not happening. She still has to fortify the baby's food intake with supplements. Some people just can not breastfeed and although it is best...it is better to make sure that you baby is having enough to eat throughout the day. You can only pump as much as you have in your supply and we are all different.

Gift Cards For Food

November 19th 2009 18:26
Who does not like to get gift cards...they really do make for a great gift to give to someone because then they can go out and get exactly what they would like. So, it makes you life easier too because then you do not have to guess on what they would like and then end up guessing wrong. And if you use the promo code "pumpkin" then you can get a $2 card discount...but this will expire on 11/25 so you have to use this one quickly. A visa gift card is really the way to go. I know that when I get them on occasion that I just love them and I will actually use them to do my groceries - not much of a holiday gift to mayself but I can use it for what I need the most and sometimes that is food!

Bananas and Mucus

November 19th 2009 18:18
Bananas and dairy products will increase your mucus and even though I love bananas - I have found that lately becaues i have not been having them that I do not have a cough...not even that seasonal cough yet. So, I think that I am personally going to stay clear of anything that will increase mucus build -up. That is what cause problems and infections!

Rental

November 19th 2009 18:14
When it comes to car rental prices you want to make sure that you get the best bargains out there. And with the holidays coming up why would you want to spend more on something when you can actually save on it. Imagine what you can do with all the money you will save...even if it is just $30 - that is money that you can spend on a gift or for yourself....treat yourself to that take out dinner that you have not had in months because you are always trying to save money. There is always a way to save but sometimes you have to do a little research and put a little effort into it but it is worth it!

Can I ask - are you going through menopause ?
If you add more Strawberries to you diet you are adding more boron and this helps circulate estrogen throughout your blood level. Tomatoes, dandelions, apples, poppy seeds, broccoli, pears, cherries, apricots, and pumpkin are also high in boron.

Celery and Dates contain phytoestrogens so you may want to have more of them.

This is what I know off the top of my head but I will find more info for you!

I know that it is when you have that annoying ringing in the ears. I know of 2 natural remedies off hand -
massage your head with lemons - the aroma helps and eat more foods high in magnesium and potassium

You also might want to find out why you have this - this could be a symptom of another problem - could be ear wax or poor circulation, high blood pressure, ear infections - even Lyme disease - and I know that because my cousin had Lyme disease.

I can do a little more digging for you and right up a post on this.

I will never give out or suggest dosage or amount information - everyone is different and I am not your doctor. In fact, I am not a doctor. This is just purely for education purposes. And even if I were a doctor - all information comes from somewhere - whether it be from books, magazines, people on the street, relatives...

I make these posts very easy to read through quickly - I just try to state what the health benefits are of the foods or how they are natural remedies for certain ailments. Of course one thing is not going to cure all ailments. However, if you are having a headache - you can browse through here you can easily see that having a banana may help it rather than ... oh way...having a peach.

If I do have spelling errors feel free to email me - you don't have to post it - I do check but sometimes things get by - thanks!

Please do come back often and feel free to post if you have some natural remedies your would like to share!

If I eat after 8 p.m. - I feel lousy the next day and I really can't sleep very well.
