Holiday Nut Bread

September 6th 2010 19:43
INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup butter, soft
2 eggs
1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups flour

3 medium bananas, soft
1/4 cup walnuts
1/4 cup marchino cherries, chopped
1/4 cup chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS

Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg and banana and beat well. Stir in flour and baking soda. Mix in the nuts, cherries, chocolate chips.

Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes in bread pans, or until a knive inserted in middle comes out clean. If top turns brown to quickly, cover loosely with a tent made of tin foil.

*FAMILY HISTORY

This is one of my personal favorites! While in the Army, I came home one Christmas and spent nearly the entire week mostly living on this and coffee, I know...I was naughty! But it's just SO GOOD!!
