Hit list glitches - Vampire Wars

March 10th 2010 15:47
Ok, have you ever tried to add someone to the hitlist, but been unable to, no matter how many times you try at different times of day?

You suspect, at first, that it's because:

-- They're already in zombie mode, or
-- They're already on the hit list

because that's what Zynga tells you.

You think maybe other people hate them as much as you do (or maybe they're using a bot that keeps them below 20 health by continually attacking).

Well, apparently there's other explanations -- there's ways to keep yourself off the hitlist permanently. My memory isn't good about this, so if anyone has some more info on this subject, please let me know!

From memory, the methods to make yourself hitlist-immune include:

1. Getting hitlisted, then staying on the hitlist for more than 16 hours without dying.

2. Something to do with Baba Yaga... Can't remember... Something like getting hitlisted while you're in the middle of a fight with Baba Yaga... or getting hitlist-killed while you're fighting Baba Yaga... and because of a glitch, that makes you immune to hitlists.

Like I said, if anyone has better information, please say so.

Notes

-- At one point, there was a hitlist glitch related to an update problem, but I think that's since been fixed.

-- I'm fairly sure that if you're in zombie mode when you log out of VW (by closing any open browser windows), then you'll stay in zombie mode until you log back on. It's similar to the way that, if you have a 100% Wisdom running, the Zynga server will think you still have it active until the next time you log on.
