No matter how much you and Alt-ed dislike each other I think it is abhorrent to drag Morgan into this. Alt-ed is an adult and a person with his own opinions as is Morgan. If you don't like Alt-ed that is fine, he is abrasive and has never hidden the fact.

Morgan doesn't control Alt-ed's opinions and I think the attack is unwarranted.

If you really must involve yourself...I realize that you and Morgan are friends outside of Orble so, no doubt, she has had a private word to you and asked you to intervene. But, as people here are fond of saying - we are all entitled to our own opinion. This is mine:
I have seen a number of times that Alt -ed leaps into discussions when someone disagrees with Morgan and is nasty and insulting in the extreme. If I had a friend who did that I would simply ask them to stop. And if that person was my friend they would do so. I would be ashamed to have someone enter the fray on my behalf and insult and belittle my opponent. I believe that Morgan allows this because her persona is of the level-headed & calm voice of reason. She allows Alt-ed to get involved and spout the nastiness she'd like to level at those who disagree with her. Beat them down by proxy! Put bluntly, she's a phoney. So we will just have to disagree. By the way the insults you see here are nothing. There was much more viciousness that alt-ed modified, perhaps because he realized how bad it made him look.

I'm sorry Teresa, Morgan has not spoken to me about this at all, I saw the link on Jason's blog. Morgan often tells Alt-ed to pull his head in but he says what he pleases as is his wont. Morgan and I are friends, we met through blogging elsewhere and I can say she is extremely genuine. There is nothing phony about her at all. She says exactly what she means.

If you have a complaint about Alt-ed I would suggest taking it to Jon. I'm sure you wouldn't be the first to do so. His comment to you was very over the top I agree but he was not asked by Morgan to say what he did I assure you. Regardless of what some people for unknown reasons think, I don't think there is a vicious bone in Morgan's body. If she were to try to moderate everything he said she would spend all of her time doing that instead of writing or commenting herself. He is an adult and she does not have any control over his words or actions.

I have no problem with you at all but I was taken aback that you brought her into this when it is Alt-ed you have a problem with.

She really is a very nice person and very dedicated to writing and researching. She is not the least bit bitchy no matter how much Alt-ed is.

Alt-ed put a bloody disclaimer at the bottom of all your comments. You keep getting Morgan in the shit!

Cheryl, This all sounds very reasonable but as far as I'm concerned Morgan could stop alt-ed if she really wanted to. I was actually trying to be sort of humorous about it by posting the doggie things. I thought it was pretty funny. I think Alt-ed must be somewhat unhinged. He definitely has an anger problem. I know that you posted a comment here because you felt like you wanted to defend your friend. Morgan does seem nice and I'm sure she is. But I still think she lets alted do the dirty work because it is convenient. Quietens down opposition.
