Help! PETA!!!
June 23rd 2009 23:09
Where is Peta when you need them? They are protecting the torture of swatting flies, that's where!
I'd hear stories from old-timers in Europe of how people were practically starving during World War 2. Food was scarce and some would steal to survive. Horses were, well, a gourmet food at the time. So horses were a food for the common villagers at the time, but taste is addicting and soon we make it into a tradition.
Why do some cultures eat dogs, cats, rats, snails, turtles, snakes, etc, well you get the picture? Others get sick from the thought of eating these animals. Petards should get their priorities straight and if the villagers don't go to you, then Peta must go to the villagers!
Dear Petards,
Perhaps you should move your operations to Europe and save the horses. Go on a Peace Corp mission to save horses from owners who must pledge not to eat their own horses. That's like asking the beef cow farmer not to eat his own cattle.
"Sure, I'll eat somebody else's cattle while I sell mine to the consumer for consumption!"
That is saying that if you sell your horses to someone else, they are allowed to eat it because they are not the owners. Yes, dear Peta, horses will still be consumed. It is your mission to go to Europe and stop this horse eating madness.
Then you should go on a world tour. Stop those who eat dogs. Whoever thought a hot dog was a real dog? Stop the consumption of rats and rodents. Think of the bugs that are killed because they spread disease, annoy humans, bite, eat fecal matter, sting, attack, swarm, etc.
Then there are those who eat raw sea kittens and are allowed to do so.
Looks like you have your animal rights hands full, Peta. I'll bet that somewhere starving people are eating worms and maggots. Important questions to Peta:
Would Peta discriminate as to what animals are being abused?
Would Peta hit soft-targets and take advantage of its human rights laws and apply them to animals? Does Peta fear telling certain governments about their animal-rights issues? Peta in China? North Korea? Russia? Get the picture?
I'm surprised that Peta has not conducted a study to find out if plants don't feel the same pain as prey animals. That is probably because after animals and vegetables, you are left eating rocks!
So we must respect the animals and eat vegetables. Don't vegetables feel pain? Hypocrisy is a one-sighted, two-way street. You're right and I'm wrong because I don't agree with your short-sighted righteous vision.
Then we come to the fact that Peta is more protective of animals than humans. This makes me wonder why Peta doesn't go live in the forest or jungle and practice their herbivore traits? Lazy laxed herbivores are doomed to become a delicacy and a tradition. As the song goes, this will bring us back to doe a deer, a succulent deer!
Please Peta, go after the villagers of Europe that will shoot you if you stop them from eating a horse. Horses and ponies are people, too! I'll eat a salad with my ribs I promise!
Sincerely,
The Proud Omnivore
