Wow I can't believe how long ago it was that I got to post here and this is only going to be be a quickie post.
So much has been happening. Most importantly though is that that little monkey monster of mine, yes that's Callum, has at long last started school. It was his first day last week, well I say day it was a half day and he still is doing half days for the rest of this week, all of next week and then hopefully after that he will be going full time. Yay!! I think.
It seems to be going well, he asks to go each day and wants to go, he tells Daz and I that he likes it and if we bribe him enough we get told little snippets of what he got up to. He has so far earned to stickers for being a superb worker and just generally being good. Last Friday he got set his first bit of homework.... he had to practice sitting on the floor at home with his legs crossed and not sprawling out all over the floor. We had fun practicing. Also he was amazed when the other day they bought out the school television for them to watch a dvd on. When I picked him up from school he ran up to me and said "Mummy they have a tv at school. AND it's on wheels!!" It took me back to when I was a kid and we were lucky enough to watch something on the tv set with wheels. He was fascinated by it.
Another thing I've been surprised to see in a way is how grown up in some areas he has become. No longer do I have to argue with him to get himself dressed and half an hour later still be staring at a butt naked Callum. Nope now he is happy to get himself dressed even down to putting on the knee length socks he has. Amazing.
So, so far so good.
As for other stuff, we're still trying to sell our home, we've had quite a few viewings but although people have said they've liked our home they aren't keen on it's location. It's been very frustrating and the Estate Agents haven't helped matters much. We are still perseveering but but it is stressful plus you have to keep your home constantly clean and tidy, not that we're messy people but those with kids will know how hard it can be to have a spotless home.
Lots of other stuff has been going on but I won't bore anyone with that, but needless to say things have been both busy, tiring and very very stressful.
Hopefully in a few weeks when Callum is at school full time I'll be able to get back to posting here a lot more and visiting all those wonderful blogs. I hope everyone and their families are well. Lots of hugs to you all.
Sarah.
Oh and what would it be without a photo of Callum on his first day. Daz actually too this photo as Callum wasn't having any of it when I wanted to take a photo. Yes he's a real little Daddy's boy. lol.

I know what it's like ... not having enough time for posting and sending a child to school for the first time. It's tough stuff!!
When my daughter went to school for the first time, I expected her to have a bit of a cry before being tugged clear of my hand to be dragged, kicking and screaming into her classroom. OK, well, maybe that's a bit of an exageration but you know what I mean.
She was actually very mature and very calm about the whole experience and the only tears we experienced were when she had too many children trying to be her friend!
Hopefully my son will be just as sanguine about the whole experience when he starts school.
Good luck to Callum, I hope he enjoys school as much as my daughter does.
And I hope you get beck to regular posting very soon. I enjoy your inputs into Orble-life.
Take Care,
A.xxxx

Mum's Word
Congratulations on starting school again Sarah. When my daughter started school I found she changed so much in 6 months. Her language skills, her maturity lots of things. And you'll change too. I found a new group of drinking buddies for Friday night at the pub.
I love Callum's homework.
Good luck with selling your house and with all the other stuff.
Love & stuff
