HEINZE: I WANT TO STAY AT UNITED
January 18th 2007 10:20
Manchester United defender Gabriel Heinze has insisted he wants to remain at the club - until the end of the season at least.
The Argentina international has struggled to regain his place in the side after missing most of last season due to an injury with Patrice Evra impressing at left-back.
And Heinze, who cost nearly £7million three years ago, revealed he plans to see out his contract at Old Trafford which runs until the end of the season.
DONG'S NEW UNITED DEAL
He told the Daily Star: “The decision remains with Manchester United. I have a contract signed until June 2007 and I do not want to go anywhere.
“I do not want to be sold in January. I want to wait until June to see what happens.
“I am happy in Manchester with my work and I want to try and get back in the team, but it is the coach who picks the 11.”
