Healthy meal tips

Spinach:
I chop fresh spinach and add it to just about everything. Stir fry, chili, soups, casseroles....you name it and spinach is in it.
The best part is, it looks like parsley! No one can say "eeew! That's spinach!" Haha!
Boxed dinners:
I add a handful of frozen veggies, and a little onion and garlic, and its a new healthier version.
Ramon noodles:
Ok dirt cheap!
Throw out the season pack, which is pretty much a butt load of salt, and add chicken broth instead of water, frozen veggies, leftover chicken, salt and pepper, cilantro, and a dab of sesame oil, and a healthy version of plain old noodles!
Cook it the same way. 2 minutes! I start with the veggies and add the noodles at the end, total cooking time under 8 minutes.
My kids love it! And its a QUICK lunch when I have no time to cook.
Truvia:
Healthy sugar substitute.
Its awesome on fruit and in fruit salads.
It has a hint of vanilla flavor. SO good and good for you!
Drink mixes:
I add a drink mix to bottles of water all of the time. I also add instant TEA to it also, or green tea bags.
Tea in cold water doesn't add as many antioxidants as in hot water, but at least I'm getting a few when I wouldn't have elsewhere.
Water:
My kids won't drink water. They throw their cups if I put water in them, but I found a tip that Will blow away any parent.
I found some little neon green plastic shot glasses At the dollar tree. Well I give them to my kids at snack time to drink water out of and they can't get enough water with them!
I have a theory that if the cup is "cool" or "cute" enough they WILL drink water! Haha its crazy I have tried everything, but we were in the process of teaching them to drink out of a glass with no lid, and these little shot glasses were the perfect fit for my toddlers. The little glasses really reduce spills.
Point is.... get fancy looking crazy glasses and kids will drink water without a problem!!
Ok those are my tips for today. Ill add more later on another post.
