HawkNelson Comes To Town

Generation Freedom got to experience a double blessing on April 1st...the Christian band HawkNelson came to Rocketown in Nashville, and not only that...but the concert was sold out and the kids got in for free. If that wasn't enough, my "Drama Llamas" as I call them, were first in line to get their goodies signed.
Here is the story: One of my "llamas" LOVES HawkNelson. He wasn't scheduled to come anywhere near Nashville for a good span of time. So she prayed fervently that they come to town. When I found out they would be here, I quickly worked with the youth pastors to take the kids to the concert. Only, this young fervent praying fan had a softball game that night. Since she was already committed, she would HAVE to play the softball game! Or would she? She quickly turned her prayers to prayers for rain and guess what? You guess it! A rainstorm came in and the game was called. She rode with me and my two boys to Rocketown. It never rained while we waited outside.
The kids had wonderful views of the band and had a blast. When we all got in line, my fervent pray-er got to go up first and was told by Jason that she was the first person to get an autograph for the entire tour. When he signed her CD, he put a big #1 on it. She was so thrilled. One of my sons, Chase (the blonde) got the first kazoo and slap bracelet signed (if you don't know about the kazoos you need to check out the band's website at http://www.hawknelson.com). My other llama got the first poster signed, while Michael, my other son pictured, got the first mini poster and CD sold at the site signed. Pictures were made and they all had a great time.
I'm so glad that there is a fun time we can offer the kids that shows they don't need to go where there is drinking or smoking, or worse! Each one of the kids were blessed and we all had a wonderful time. To have so many fabulous things happen had each of us thanking God for his grace and favor! He is always good to each of us!
