"Having a nice time Washington DC!"
March 4th 2008 01:32
We checked into the Wyndham Timeshare in Old Town Alexandria yesterday. It's a nice place down up in colonial or victorian decor. It's more like a fancy hotel with the ski rise set up, which is nice too. I like the different types of timeshares wether they are like condo's or skirises. When you walk into the room, you see right away that it is not a hotel. The master bedroom is lovely with devet [sp?] comforter and all. Very cozy!
We went for a relaxing drive to see DC just before dark and at dark. I was excited to see the whiteouse BUT when I saw the Washington Monument it just about took my breath away. Silly I know and I don't know why it did but, I LOVED it and took lots of pics of it.
I've felt good until the middle of the night and then my kidney pain REALY kicked in and then spread to my stomache. I laid and cried for a couple hours and could not make it to the bathroom. The bathroom isn't even but about ten steps from the bed. I have no idea what the heck is going on but I hope they figure it out. By about 11 am this morning it ad finally passed mostly.
It was almost seventy here today so we decided to just venture out here in Old Town Alexandria and go in and out of some of the little artsy shops. There where benches for when I started getting pain and needed to sit. I made it abouteight blocks and then could not walk another step. So dad walked back and got the truck. Well actualy he walked back, the nine blocks twice becuase we for got something also. "He's such a sweetheart."
While we where out we stopped at a cute little BBQ place and had some lunch. It was sooo good. I especialy LOVED The cole slaw, Ribs, cucumber & Onion salad, and the garlic mashed potatoes, oh and the cornbread... Ok so we sampled each others food like we usualy do. lol We always share food with swapping stuff.
Now hubby is making moscacholi, The kids are doing a little spanish for homeschool, and I'm playing on here. We'll head to bed early because we have a tour INSIDE the "Capital Building" tomarow. I'm a little worried because we are riding the tram because there is no parking there. I cannot walk long or far with my kidneys. Hubby said it won't be far from the tram, but we'll see.
ok, here are some pics so far.
