Have you seen the silver cord during an out of body experience?

Many people who claim to have had an out of body experience (OBE) report seeing a silver cord attached from their astral body to their physical body.
Robert Monroe claimed that the cord was located on the back of his head (on his astral body) and that it felt like a rope. He also claimed that it connected to the "second body", which he found was always near the human body, but still not directly part of it (think of a more formed human auric field).
Others claim that the silver cord extends from the belly button of the human body to the belly button of the astral body.
In all cases, people claim that it can extend to infinity and can never be severed (until physical death on earth).
