Lake Titicaca

July 3rd 2009 16:06

There are so many places on Earth that are worth visiting and in this blog I have always tried to write about some of the best places to visit around the world. Here in this post I will introduce some facts about a well known lake, which is a good place to spend your vacation at.

Lake Titicaca is situated in East Central South America. Although not the largest lake yet it holds the record for being the highest commercially navigatable lake in the world. Its height above sea level is about 3,810 m/12,500 ft. It extends all the way from south eastern Peru to western Bolivia covering a length of 196 km and has an average width of 56 km.

Lake Titicaca is important not just for its water navigation but also for its archaeology. It holds the key to study the early lives of the Native American people that lived centuries back. Here you can navigate the whole lake visit the archaeological sites and also look into the culture and life style of the local people.

Here most of the people are farmers are fisher men and rely on the lake's water for their survival. But once you visit the people you will surely encounter a new experience in your travel voyages.

Another famous thing about the lake is that it has many floating islands which people have their houses on. These islands are made by the villagers themselves using floating reeds. You can visit the place form either side i.e. Bolivia or Peru.

A ferry service runs between these two countries. The ferries can also be used to navigate through the many different island each holding some cultural, archaeological importance.

How To Remove Trojan Virus

July 1st 2009 16:43

With the advent of microprocessors, personal computers flooded into every one's home. Every year more and more people started to buy PCs. Then came the time of the internet revolution and every thing started to become available online. We can now control our bank accounts, shop online what ever we want, meet family and friends and interact with everyone else in this vast cyber universe.

Despite all this ease we get, there is still some hassle and this hassle is the security threat that internet poses to us. Every day new viruses, trojans, malwares, spywares and worms are born out of no where. All this malicious things harm our PCs either knowingly or unknowingly.

But when there are bad people trying to harm the goodness we can avail, its nature's rule that some better, good people are created to counter their efforts. We have these good software engineers with us to help us fight against cyber crimes.

Here in this post let me now tell some things on removing a Trojan Virus. Trojan viruses actually are malicious pieces of softwares that mostly spread unknowingly into your PC. There are a class of internet viruses that spread into your PC in a way as that they pretend to be useful to you PC and when you download them unknowingly, they just create havoc in you PC.

Trojan viruses spread from files which people download from websites allowing download of illegal content or through popups mostly that are windows security update. It is stronly advisable that you stay away from such websites in the first place how ever even if you still are infected. then you can get it removed via some good trojan remover.

You remove a trojan virus either manually or through an automatic trojan terminator. But the right software must be used to do so. Symantec has a good data base about all the latest trojans and how to remove them using there antivirus updates. You can get tons of information from there.

How ever here is a good article which you can read to get rid of trojan viruses

Emerald

June 27th 2009 16:32

Emerald is a variety of Beryl crystal which is found in various places around the world. However it is rare to get and an emerald out of the Beryl mines and this is the reason that this green shiny gemstone is considered to be one of the precious stones.

Emerald are deemed to be the most precious stones by many people and experts around the world. Although the bulk of diamond wound be expensive as compared to emerald when weighed carats. However emerald can get precious beyond imagination. This is because emerald are already rare and most of the emerald have inclusion with in them.

It is extremely hard to find a flawless emerald and if found it value can surpass even the most expensive diamonds around the world. This is the fact that makes many feel emeralds are precious than diamonds. And some times such flawless emeralds can even make an expert say "priceless".

Emerald are very brittle and soft crystals. They can break very easily and can be scratched. They are also not very resistant to heat. This is the reason that extra care is taken in the manufacturing of emerald studded jewelry and the repairing and polishing of such jewelry is also costly.

Emeralds' value can be determined using the standard 4C method used to evaluate most of the gemstones. However many gemstones unlike diamond do not follow strictly thye 4C method of evaluation. Color and Clarity are the main things that are checked when finding out the value of an emerald.

Like is said emeralds, naturally have fractures and inclusion with in them and absolutely clear emeralds are very rare and valuable. However sometimes you may find emerald with inclusions expensive as it gurantees the gemstone to be natural. This thing is valid if it has a good color.

The best cut emeralds are known to be rectangular shape. This shape is sometimes called emerald shape when other gemstones are cut out in this shape. Emeralds are certainly precious and it is always advised that you get some experienced person with you if you are out to buy a genuine emerald.

Deadly Truck Drive

June 27th 2009 15:50

This is really a nice traditional stunt driving game but one that I got to play after along time. The reason is its very wondeful game play. Usually games of this sort don't actually imitate the actual things that happens to a four-wheeler in a moutainous terrain. But in this game the throttle is well imitated according to the terrain conditions.

Nokia is the next big thing in the IT industry after may be IBM and Intel, as these are the two major companies that literally took over the computer industry completely and still are the major players. Similarly Nokia is the brand that took over the mobile industry and by all means it really is the leader in it.
