Has Apple gone too far?
February 8th 2010 17:48
Wow my first post. Tell me what you guys think later.
Has apple gone too far this time? I can't even begin to name all the different rumors that surfaced about what the then upcoming "iSlate" (iSlate Trademark) would pack under its hood. Then the announcement came. For those who were really following the hype from the very beginning, most have been left disappointed. From the absent front facing camera for video conferencing, the sleek designs that were being "leaked", full Mac OS X, or something as simple as full flash support for web browsing.
Has Apple now come to a point where it feels they can just put their name, and logo, in any product and know it will be successful regardless of how good it is? There is no denying the amazing marketing power that this company has. From their always happy commercials, to their use of isolation (putting all white around their product so you just focus on the product and nothing else) in every ad they put out, or even to the word their technicians and staff use. One video that shows this, although as funny as it is, is Apple Keynote in 180 Seconds .
So again I ask you, has Apple gone too far? Or, have our expectations gone too far? Have we simply gotten to a point where anyone can write anything on a website, and we simply go along and believe it, and start the domino effect of the never ending rumor mill? Do you like the iPad? What do you guys think?
P.S. Please check out the video, it's "Phenomenal!!!" You'll get it if you watch it, Later guys.
Computer/Gadget used to create Post: Mac Pro, Mac OS X 10.5.8, Firefox 3.0.11, Apple Wireless Keyboard, Apple Magic Mouse.
