HAppy Birthday Nan!
June 18th 2007 13:37
Saturday gone was my Nan's birthday, she was 84 years old. For the special occasion my Mum had a little party for her, just close family. What was great that a few weeks ago my Nan had been in hospital and even though we all put on a brave face I think we were very concerned. Thankfully she's now out of hospital and although not looking 100% is looking better. It was a great afternoon and we even got to see my Auntie Ida and Uncle Paul which until recently (while my Nan was in hospital) we hadn't seen each other in ages, I think the last time they may have seen Callum he was only a few months old and he's going to be four years old next month. Unfortunately the weather was awful and it rained most of the day so there was no BBQ but plenty of my Mum's good old cooking and it did eventually hold off raining long enough to allow Callum and his cousins Eloise and Alex a play out in the garden... and some peace and quiet for the adults. As always I had my camera with me so here are a few photos (mostly of the children)

What lovely photos. It looks like you all had a wonderful day and your nan looks great for a 84 year old ... many more years ahead of her, I'm sure.
Hang on ... where are the pictures of you?

Really sorry I missed this post, I don't know how, sometimes they just roll on so quickly.
It looks like everyone had a great time and I'm sure Joe enjoyed at least the food.
Nan looks great as does everyone else.
I just love to see children having a great time.
Families, for those lucky enough to have them bring a lot of joy, even tho many do not realize it.
It's great to see a get together. thanks for sharing with us.

Thank you, I hope she has many more years ahead too, although she's all doom and gloom about life. We all had a lovely time and I'm trying to persuade my Mum to have a bigger family party in the summer with my Dad's side of the family there too, lots of kiddies then!
Oh and I'm always the photo taker, it's rare to have me in photos. Next time I'll make sure though.
Hope things are well with you.

You don't need to be sorry I'm happy any time you pop by and understand how busy things can be, thank you for all the times you do comment.
Joe's a 15 year old so family is embarrassing at the moment and we have great fun making it more so for him. Also his twin sister had made an early exit so he was on his own. Aww bless him. LOL.
Thank you for all the kind comments. You're right too children having fun is great to watch, they don't care what the weather is like as long as they can play. We're lucky in that the three kids get on wonderfully and love to see each other, in fact I'm lucky that I have such a wonderful loving family that enjoy spending time with each other.
Thank you for popping by.
Take Care.

LOL! Another female supporter of my son! I'm biased of course.
I've never really thought about how many generations of family we have but you're right now I come to think of it and it makes me even more appreiciative of my family than before. It's been wonderful for me to see my family grow so I can only imagine what it must be like for my Nan. I'm also lucky enough to have my Dad's mum alive to that's a four generation side of the family too.
Thank you for popping by.
Take Care.
