Decoction is the solution formed by boiling the flowers of gumamela in water. The solution is strained and cooked before using. The decoction is effective for cough

Infusion is the solution formed by pouring boiling water in a container where the flowers of gumamela are placed. The container is then covered and left for ten minutes or more. The solution which is drank like tea maybe flavored with sugar or honey. The solution is given as an expectorant in bronchitis.

Gumamela( Hibiscus). Boiling water is poured over the dark of red flowers of gumamela place in a container. The solution formed is strained and then used as a drink to relieve fever. The roots of gumamela are boiled in water. The solution formed is strained and cooled before using and remedy for eye diseases.
