Guitars

They're wooden bodies, that start out as nothing more than a great delight to look at, turn into so much more once they are purchased and first brought home.
With 6 strings, a pick guard and a few pick ups, what so special about them anyways?
Nothing really, to the distant beholder, but o so much more to the person who really takes the time to look. To hold. And to Enjoy.
Learning to play a guitar for the first time is like starting a chain reaction that can never be stopped. Once you learn a litte, you salivate to learn more. Once you first play a song, you want to play another. Once you join in with a jam session with your friends, you want to do it again and again and again.
Science has already proven that learning to play any instrument can truly improve a persons intelligence.
The time, desire and motivation it takes to fully learn an instrument can take a life time, but the more you try and the more you succeed the more you gain from it all.
From something that started out as just some silly hand crafted piece of wood with strings, and turned into a childs best friend. It is amazing to think about guitars and all they do for us in their time.
They get beat up and dinged, their paint gets scratched and dull, and the string break and get replaced time after time.
Yet we still love them, buy them and enjoy them almost as much as a child or pet, and especially as much as a best friend.
They listen when we are sad, they console us when we are made, and they help us to sort out our feelings when we really need it the most.
If you have never had the thrill and sensation of playing with a guitar, I suggest you go out and get one now.
It doesn't have to be new, or fancy, or special in any particular way. It just has to be something that calls you, that says to you "Come play me, and we will have fun", and you can take it home and enjoy a lifetime of reward.
