Words: “backpack”, “book”, “chair”; ”crayon”, “desk”, “Quiet!”,
Sentences: “a backpack”, “ a book”, “a chair”, “a crayon”, “ a desk”, “This is ….(a book/ a crayon/ a desk/ a chair/ a backpack)”, “What’s this?”, “It is a ….(book/ crayon/ chair/ backpack)”, “Shh! Be quiet!”, “What do I want?”, “What do I do when it is too loud?”, “raise your hand”, “stand up!”, “sit down”, “Show me a …..(backpack/ book/ chair/ crayon/ desk) and then say “what is it?””
Games:
Game 1: A boys versus girls game which is a race. The first boy or girl to bring the object that I call out wins a point for their team, and say “this is a …..”
Games 2: Hangman: For example; Using the word ‘Backpack’. Drawer spaces on the board for the required number of letters, and ask the students to give me a letter of this object by asking “Give me a letter” and followed by “Do you know what it is?”continue the game with other words that you are currently teaching
Song: Nursery Rhyme:
The nursery rhyme that I am starting of the lesson with is ‘star light, star bright’ of which I will write on the board and introduce the words of the songs to the student
