Bet you can’t Google this. The Three Favourite Books of the Emperor Maximilian.

You will note that when a post asks a question, "What line does this song or movie come from?", it can be Googled. But often literature and history are much more complex than this and no amount of Googling will disgorge the answer. I think it’s just like chess. The Chess Masters, in the end can always beat the computer.
Let me set the scene. Maximilian was a great Holy Roman Emperor and his position was elected in a curious ballot of several Tuetonic Princes of the day. Pictured is the masterpiece by Durer. This particular Emperor was mighty and very, very rich. His successor and grandson Charles V (pictured) ruled the largest Empire in the middle Ages.
Maximilian kept three books by his bed side. These three books were reputed to be the greatest books of the Renaissance. That should be enough of a hint already.
What were they? Can you Google the answer?
