"Get'R'Done"
April 22nd 2007 18:37
i am sooo not a churchy type person. i'm very spiritual in a Sylvia browne kind of way. i do believe in God but i also believe in sooo many other things. we went to church this morning. we had been out of town and so we didn't know there was an after church dinner. i left my money in the bathroom window, Kaity forgot my discover which is usualy in her purse. dad had just got off midnights so all his money was in his work pants. i whispered to him, "we can just eat anyway, no one will even know we didn't bring anything ebcause when you bring something in, you sneak it in the back way while everyone else is already in." nope, he won't do that, but walking out after church would be ruder. so theonly money he has is the offereing which is already sealed in the envalope. he just say's, "we'll put double in next week. he takes the envalope and slips off to shop and save durring the survice. <soft smile> gets back before its over and slips the fried chicken into the kitchen. "The day is saved!!!"
The preacher sits by us and talks about that he's FINALLY making it to his cabin for fishing. firts time since fall. he's super happy. he's been trying to go forever. our preacher looks like santa clause, beard and all. just a little skinny. we go to UCC which nis a non dominational church. after our lunch the preacher slips off to change clothes and comes out wearing a faded black T-Shirt that says a very popular Pennsylvania hick saying that Kaitlyn rolls her eyes at EVERYTIME she hears it. "Get"R"Done" funny seeing the preacher in such laid back clothes. BUT thats exactly what i love about my church, and living here in PA.
ok, i'm off to soak in the sun and get some more of a tan. not for long though. the sun ages ya BAD and i sooo still look young. i don't smoke and trya nd take great care of my skin. not relay any wrinkles yet even at 38.no grey hair yet either. <smiles> i don't smoke cigeretts and i know that helps. i recently went back to Illinois seeing some of my friends. they are all either two to three years younger then me, or my age and i was shocked at how much older and wrinkled they looked. They all smoke though. i know they where shocked at how fat i had gotten, BUT i can loose this, and thats what makes me sad about them. it's alot harder to turn back aging. i'm getting gastric bypass in oct probably. i'm due september but i'll be gone that whole month.
i've got two hundred and fifty plants top plant between today and the next couple days for the youth fundraiser at church.
ok,my girls are all dressed and ready to hang out in the sun, tanning and such. The pool cover is draining and the inside is filling for the season so i gotta remimber to trun that off. dads down for a nap for his midnight shift at the mill.chris is taking a little nap from being up doing spanish so he can hopefully be done with homeschool by myrtle beach.

good on ya for not smoking... I kicked the habit a few years ago myself and feel all the better for it.

"Great that you stopped smoking!!" i know it's such a hard thing to stop. often people start as teens from peer preasure. i have one turning 19 that smokes, and two turning 18 that swear they never will. they HATE the smell. Thats not too bad out of three kinds. mywhole family on my side do not smoke. maybe one or two. my husband doesn't smoke either.
Thanks for popping in!!! <soft smile>

And, oh... the sun! I never had a problem in Vegas... never, but last summer, being out at the stables, the sun did terrible damage to my skin and I've been working at repairing the damage ever since. I'm almost there... almost, and you can bet your bippy I'll be wearing a hat to the stables this year!! And if we do any sunning in Myrtle Beach, I'll probably drape a towel over my face or something. *LOL*
And you're absolutely right... you do look young, so all the hard work you put into taking care of yourself is paying off. But, I also have to say that aside from healthy diet, exercise, and face creams.... LOVE has much to do with you young and "rosy" a woman looks. *smirks*
::hugs::
