So, you want to take a cheap shot at a politician, but ASIO has informed you that if you heckle Mr. Howard one more time, they will be forced to take action. You want to comment on some obscure event in northern Uzbekistan, but your wife is cross-eyed from your last tidbit on nuclear brinksmandship in the Middle East. Or maybe you are feeling a bit Bushwacked by the mainstream media.

If any of these apply to you, then you're in the right place.

My vision for this blog is to creat a forum for debate and information exchange for people of all different backgrounds, political persuasions, and levels of education. If world politics is the sort of thing floats your boat, then please share your obscure, expert, or layman knowledge with the rest of the world.

Remember: this blog is a member of a community - please peruse the other blogs available for more handy hints on how to read good, and maybe do some other things good too.

I had the exact same reaction! It makes me wonder where the cult appeal comes from when everyone who reads it is singularly unimpressed. I suppose I was also spoilt by the fact that my dad had pretty much told me everything about those Christian conspiracy theories; they are a source of great fascination to him. So, I really didn't think it was much to write home about. I also read an article about Dan Brown which said that the way he came up with the idea was very formulaic: think of something that excites people - sex, think of something that gets people angry - the bible. What can I write about sex and the bible. It was not a particularly edifying article to read.

So amen, Sara!
