Political Quagmire - Freedom is not Free!

Further Consequences of the Sequester

February 25th 2013 17:59
As time passes people are wondering what damage this new financial crisis will have on American taxpayers. Many departments and agencies are already planning on giving employees work off in preparations and honestly its probably the smart choice.Your text goes here Both Democrats and Republicans are pointing fingers across the political spectrum and hammering out a deal at the deadline seems unlikely. In the grand scheme of things the cuts that will be made are small but it will have a large impact if we continue to trim money away from programs. We can only do this for a limited time but if we cut the right programs it wonít sting as much. I keep stating that we spend too much on international aid but I assume we canít let our allies abroad down.
The important thing to know is that Social Security and Medicare benefits will be spared the chopping block. The GOP will blame Obama for government spending while democrats will probably blame the previous Bush administration for it. Come to think of it liberals blame Bush for everything in the universe when it comes down to it. Iím ready to see longer lines in airports and people should expect to see them and try to use patience and civility. Iím tired of seeing people complaining of delays and why they had to wait 45 minutes on the runway inside the plane as stated by the very funny Comedian Louis C.K. Many of his jokes are considered politically incorrect but if theyíre funny who cares laugh a little! Basically, Louis C.K. is stating that right now things are pretty good and people need to just chill out. Thatís what needs to occur during this Sequester people need to calm down and just manage their money right.

ďIn fact, entitlement spending on programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security make up 54% of federal spending, and spending is projected to double within the next decade. Medicare is growing by 9% annually, and Medicaid by 8% annually. ~ Jim Ryun.Your text goes here
