"Fried Green Tomatoes!"

Thats what i'm making tonight and i cannot wait. Fresh from myown garden. I'll also slice orange tomatoes too. We have some pretty healthy foods on this weeks menu.
This afternoon hubby killed me with scents he filled the house with. i was dy'ing for it to get done> He made four kinds of fish. A Talapia and three different salmons. It was all the same salmon, just seasoned or breaded differently on each. It was sooo good. I'll dig into some of the leftovers to go with the fried green tomatoes.
Fried green tomatoes remind me of a long time, dear friend. Her screen name is from the movie friend green tomatoes. We talk often via a yahoo group and she is always soo suportive of the good, the bad and the ugly. Those are true friends. Always there even if for just a second to tell you, "i'm sooo sorry your mom died." It's almost september 1st. Can't believe she'll be gone for one month already.
I got a call from mymom two days ago. I wasn't ready for it and my heart jumped when i saw "Carol Wymon" on the caller ID. When i said hello, i don't think i was expecting it to be her, which ofcourse it wasn't, but instead my step dad. It was just a weird feeling. His number always shows up as a private number. Not sure if he just put a phone in, in her name or what the deal was. It was just weird.
I finally brung the bag of few personal things i recieved after her death. One dream catcher, and some real dried roses, and some plastic dried roses. Right now they still set in the bag. I'll get them out soon. Mayube tonight, maybe tomarow, maybe next month but atleast they are in the house now and not in the super hot trunk.
ok, i'm off to send fried green tomatoes a little message and tell her i thought of her today. then go slice some up and throw them in the fryer.
We have a netflix. "Mean Creek". Last night we watched "The Devils Arithmatic for homeschooling since we're learning the Lolacost this year. We also watched, "Cold Creek Manor" which was realy good. I've seen that one before but soo long ago i couldn't remimber it.
