"Freezing on Black Friday for Christmas"

I felt like it was my birthday and i didn't even get anythng. Just seeing my kids faces made my day.
So, Best Buy has been blasting the tv with adds for weeks for a Toshiba laptop with poto copier, printer, scanner for two hundred and twenty nine dollars. I added a laptop to my life about three months ago. Something I had thought i'd never wanted. but when i got it, i felt like i can never live without it again. I am a picture taking freak and am loving that ican dowload pics anytime i want from anywhere. i can still contact friends while i'm away, I do proof reading online and i run a non profit. The ease of my life wth owning my first laptop has been life chainging. With homeschooling our kids and allthe travel, the ids wanted a laptop for christmas.
Seeing that add on TV, hubby and I started our plan in motion. Id be in Illinois 11 hours away on black Friday [Today], while he would be in Pennsylvania. He got off last night at 11 and headed straight tohis Best Buy which is an hour earlier then the ne i'm at in Illinois. His plan was to sleep in his car until about three AM then get in line once people started comming. We where wayyyy off with how huge and crazy people would be for these sales. I've done them for years but it was at stores like Walmart. When Charlie got to his Best Buy there was about five hundred people. people had started camping out early on Thanksgiving. I didn't know yet how crazy his was.
Me, my brother, his girlfriend Heather, my three kids, My little yorkie Tinkerbell who is along on the road trip, and my daughters yorkie Chance all went to bed for a fast nap after our ghost haunt in Alton Illinois and seeing one of the three brothers i have plans to see. We lyed down at midnight and did ALOT of lauging and giggling in the dark while trying to fall asleep. We all have had sooo much fun.
We headed out at 2 AM, had a little fun driving the back way to the mall and me not doing too great in the dark, trying to figure out our old way from the town hubby and I ues to own our home in, before moving away. That was cause for alot of laughs too. I always laugh way more when i'm sleep deprived. We do also have a crazy family. We're all very silly and laugh alot through life.
We had all made bets early on, on just how crazy the line would be. Krystina thought the parking lot would be dead and that we where insane, going that early. The rest of us thought it would be crazy. We came around that corner and was shocked at all the tail lights. Then even more shocked when we saw just how far arround the building that line warped. There where thousands and thousands of people. Some in tents, with heaters because ofcourse mother nature decided to drop from 70 degrees last week to 35 degrees this week. Our hope for a laptop crashed, but we where gonna have a go at it.My brother Keith who just got over namonia took Kaitlyn and Chris out all wrapped in a Tinkerbell cover, to the back of theline. What a brother.All we had was girly covers and one dragon cover and chris was using it. Women where telling him how brave he was standing there wrapped in that thing. Myself, krystina and Heather all waited in the car becuase it was going to get us no further, us all standing there. We decided that line was going to take forever to get through, so we made them think we where gonna park out front and sit and wait for them. There where sooo many cars that they'd never realize what we where realy up to. <smiles> We, or me, decided to sneak off and find a Denny's and have some breakfast. <huge laugh> I thought we disurved it since the presents where for then kids and we had done our part for the time being, with getting them there. their was no Denny's, so we ended up doing just what we said, after much driving around and laughing about ust how sneaky we where! <huge laugh> We sat i the truck from about three AM all the way until five AM. Keith or Chris would call us updating us on what tickets they ot here and there. Hubby was alsocalling from PA. Noluck getting the laptop, but he got a ticket for a pink MPs player thats justlike the pink ipod Kaitlyn wanted. Thats also the first ticket Keit and the kids got, so could get Krystina one tow. Second we got a digital camara which is what Kaitlyn and Krystina wanted but the Kaitlyn changed her mind when we saw the laptop adds a week ago, to a laptop. So we got krystina the pink kodak easy sare. the laptop we realy wanted was all gone VERY early. They only had forty of them at this store. I was t happy about that becuase it was there biggestitem advertised on their add. Sooo not fair dragging all those people out that early and only have forty!! But i was still happy with the camara and MP3's. They stayed in line still and someone finally came with a laptop ticket.Not the Tishiba like mine but a sony for $399,00 without scanner. Luck would be that dad would call me rightthen.he was etting me charge the $229,00 one on my credit card, that he pays.Now i had to see if i could get the almost $400,00 dollar one. He said yes,go ahead, right away. i have bigger checks comming very soon from my work and could pay some back to help cover some of the extra cost. Hubby informed me that he had just gotten me the twenty five dollar black friday, bagless vacume Iwanted badly and even got it in my first choice color of "Pink"!!!! Yeah, merry christmas for me!!"
so they waited in line paitiently, and finally here came a man with the Toshiba ticket we desperatly wanted. He gave t toKaity andshe thanked him, and then some lady wripped it out of her hand. Can you even belive how mean people can be!!! Kaitlyncame running t the truck all upset aoutit cause she wanted her laptop sooo bad. I told her just e paitient, your good kids, and dad said i could get you the four hundred dollar one. She scremaed her happy laugh and ran back up. About five minutes later i gotthe call. Some gut just sold them his Toshiba with printer, scaner, photo all in one thingy, for $10,00. OMG we where almost at the end of the line and landed one. They went in and got it line. Once the laptop was in cart and they waited in line people stood begging and begging and BEGGING for them togive up the one of 40 laptops. kaitlyn got annoyed after awhile. She said "I'm not giving it up. You felt bad because the lady had gottenthere about four hours before us, but it's just ow it worked out. She didn't ru across the people giving their ticket up. We just got lucky. Kaitly jumped up and down for the longest time. she is sooo happy. her and chris now have a laptop toshare BUT my brother Marck is seeling ad $1800,00 laptop too. I'm nt sure how much he wants for it.I still have three hundred cash left and I head there in a little while. if the deal is pretty enough, they will each have their own. Chris wants one good enough for games and knowing my brother, this one is just that. Chris will check it out. My brother is HUGE on playing games. We'll see.
We headed back t the warm hotel. Hist the hotels breakfast bar having donuts, cereal, juice, oatmeal and such, then we crashed.
Tomarow morning we head me. We plan on seeing brothers tonight and then some of us may be gettinga new tatoo tonight. Not sure if we'll fit that in. It was planned but the friend tatoo artistas a BAD absest tooth. If it doesn't happen, it wasn'tmeant to be. I was goin to get pink rosary beeds around my ankle, hangng down onto my foot, with across hangig onto my foot. Iwant it badly bet I know t will hurt BADLY bcause the moon and clouds I have on the inside of my leg hurt horribly bad compaired to the small tinkerbell i have n the outside of my calf. That barely hurt.
I got my mms ashes last night but tahts a whole nother post and i need tostart downloading homework oto thekids laptop, for them to do off and on when they can't get online. I have an verizon air card but they don't. I can put work on the notepad for them though.
Chris has to check the laptop outand see if he wants it with kaitlyn, or cash. If he decides cash, kaity has a laptop all her own. It's great either way. or Chris may get my brother marks.
