Free Writer's Retreat !

Would you like to go on a writer's retreat, but you think you can't afford to?

A writer's retreat needn't be costly. I go often for free!

How?

I pack my favorite bag with a pen, notebook, bottled water and Power Bars and head to a comfortable park (one with benches and restrooms!). Sometimes I walk a bit through the park then settle down on a bench to write. Other times, I get right to work.

What about the kids? I usually take my daughter with me! I supervise her on the playground while I write. It's harder to concentrate, but I often manage to get a short poem or a blog post written. And, it's easier than finding a sitter while I go on some week-long retreat. And, just being outdoors can inspire your very best writing! The birds are chirping, the squirrels are playing, the flowers are in bloom.

So, pack your bag and go on your free writer's retreat...today!
