Free Proud to be Irish Coaster Crochet Pattern

Materials:
1/2 oz. green worsted weight yarn
1/2 oz. white worsted weight yarn
Size H crochet hook

Size: 5" in diameter

Rnd 1: With green, ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring, ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join w sl st in top of 1st dc, fasten off (12 dc).

Rnd 2: Join white w sl st in 1st dc of Rnd 1, ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before (24 dc).

Rnd 3: Ch 3, 2 dc in next dc, * dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from * around, join as before, fasten off (36 dc).

Rnd 4: Join green w sl st in 1st dc of Rnd 3, (ch 5, sl st in same dc) 3 times to form shamrock, fasten off, sk 2 dc. * Join green w sl st in next dc, (ch 5, sl st in same dc) 3 times to form shamrock, fasten off, sk 2 dc *, rep from * to * around coaster, fasten off (12 shamrocks).

Weave in ends.

How adorable! I thought it was pretty, and perfect for Irish friends o'mine, and then I saw the close-up and the shamrocks! I can't wait to make some for them!!! Thanks for the pattern!
