Materials:
Small amount worsted weight yarn in gray and black
Size H crochet hook
Size: 3 1/4" x 3 3/4"
Rnd 1: With gray, ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring, ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join w sl st in 1st dc (12 dc).
Rnd 2: * Ch 3, work 1st half of 2 dc in same st, yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook, ch 3, sl st in same st, fasten off *.
Sk 1 dc to left of sts just worked, join gray w sl st in next dc and rep from * to *.
Sk 3 dc to left of sts just worked, join gray w sl st in next dc, rep from * to *.
Sk 1 dc to left of sts just worked, join gray w sl st in next dc, rep from * to *.
Leave last 3 dcs unworked. (You now have 4 little "wings".)
Rnd 3: Join black w sl st in dc to right of beg ch 3 in Rnd 2, ch 6, dc in same dc, ch 3, (dc, ch 3, dc) in top center of next "wing", ch 3, (dc, ch 3, dc) in 2nd dc of 3 sk dc, ch 3, (dc, ch 3, dc) in top center of next "wing", ch 3, (dc, ch 3, dc) in next sk dc of Rnd 2, ch 3, (dc, ch 3, dc) in top center of next "wing", ch 3, (dc, ch 3, dc) in 2nd dc of 3 sk dc, ch 3, (dc, ch 3, dc) in top center of next "wing", ch 3, join w sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 6, fasten off (16 ch 3 sp).
