Free Hand Strap Potholder Crochet Pattern

Materials:
1 oz. worsted weight yarn
Size N crochet hook
Size: 7" in diameter
Notes: Work with 3 strands of yarn held together throughout. Weave in loose ends as work progresses.
Rnd 1: Ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring, ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join w sl st in 1st dc (12 dc).
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before (24 dc).
Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before, ch 6 to form hanging loop, sl st in same st, fasten off (48 dc).
Hand Strap:
Row 1: Ch 3, sc in 2nd ch from hk and in next ch (2 sc).
Rows 2-10: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc (2 sc), fasten off after Row 10.
Sew hand strap at each side between Rows 2 and 3 as pictured.
