Materials:
1 oz. brown worsted weight yarn
1/2 oz. pink worsted weight yarn
Size K crochet hook
Size N crochet hook
Gauge: 3 rnds dc=2"
Notes: Weave in loose ends as work progresses.
Size: Fits a 7-year-old girl.
Rnd 1: With brown yarn and size K hook, ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring, ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join w sl st in top of 1st dc (12 dc).
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before (24 dc).
Rnd 3: Ch 3, 2 dc in next dc, * dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from * around, join as before (36 dc).
Rnd 4: Ch 3, 2 dc in next dc, * dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from * around, join as before (54 dc).
Rnds 5-10: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, join as before, fasten off after Rnd 10 (54 dc).
Embroidery:
With Size N crochet hook and pink yarn, work surface sl sts between Rnds 1 and 2, Rnds 2 and 3, Rnds 3 and 4 and Rnds 4 and 5.
