Free Flower Picture Crochet Pattern

Materials:
Small amounts size 10 crochet cotton in orange, variegated purple and blue
Size 5 steel crochet hook
Printed stems found here

Note: Weave in loose ends as work progresses.

Flowers (make 8):
Rnd 1: With variegated purple, ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring, ch 1, 8 sc in ring, join w sl st in 1st sc (8 sc).

Rnd 2: * Ch 3, sc in 2nd ch from hk, dc in next ch, sl st in next sc, rep from * 6 times, skip over last sc, join w sl st at base of 1st ch 4, fasten off (7 petals).

Glue flowers on top of stems as shown.

Sun:
Rnd 1: With orange, ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring, ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join w sl st in 1st dc (12 dc).

Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before (24 dc).

Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before (48 dc).

Rnd 4: * Ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hk, dc in each of next 2 ch, sk next sc, sl st in next sc, rep from * 23 times, join at base of 1st ch 4, fasten off (24 rays).

Glue sun to picture as shown.

Bird:
With blue, ch 7, fasten off (twice).

Draw a bird shape (2 humps) with glue onto paper, then place ch 7 sections onto humps.

Let picture dry.
