Free Crochet Pattern: Flower One

Materials:
Small amounts worsted weight yarn in red and yellow
Size H crochet hook
Size: 2 1/2" in diameter
Rnd 1: With red, ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring, ch 1, (sc in ring, ch 3) 5 times, join w sl st in 1st sc (5 ch 3 loops).
Rnd 2: Sl st into 1st ch 3 sp, ch 1, * (sc, ch 3, sc) 3 times in same sp, sl st in next sc and into next ch 3 sp, rep from * around, join w sl st in 1st sc, fasten off (5 petals).
Center: Cut 2 12" lengths of yellow yarn and, holding both lengths together, make a French knot in center of flower. Hint: I like to leave the back tail ends of my French knot attached and unwoven so that I can use them to attach the flower to a scarf or other base.
Weave in ends!
