Free Camouflage Glass Jacket Crochet Pattern

Looking for an easy, masculine gift to crochet? Try my glass jacket pattern! You can crochet one glass jacket in under 15 minutes. For a more feminine look, crochet these in pink or lavender yarn. Or, use yarn that matches your kitchen decor.
This glass jacket will fit a tapered glass with a 7 7/8" base circumference and 10 7/8" rim circumference.
Materials needed for one glass jacket:
1/2 oz. camouflage worsted weight yarn, such as Red Heart Super Saver Camouflage
Size H crochet hook
Size G crochet hook
Scissors
Yarn needle

Rnd 1: Using size H crochet hook, ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring (or just start with magic ring if you're familiar with that technique), ch 3, work 11 dc into ring, join w sl st in top of beg ch 3 (12 dc).
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same dc as beg ch 3, 2 dc in each rem dc around, join as before (24 dc). At this point, your circle should measure 2 3/8" in diameter. Now, switch to size G crochet hook and continue working sides with G hook throughout rest of pattern.

Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in back loop only of next dc, continue working this rnd in back loops only as follows: 2 dc in next dc, * dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from * around, join as before (32 dc).
Rnds 4-7: Ch 3, working in both loops again now and throughout rest of pattern, dc in each dc around, join as before (32 dc). Fasten off after Rnd 7 (sides should measure 2 1/2" tall).
Weave in ends w yarn needle.
