There were two...
The happiest moments of my life have been the few which I have passed at home in the bosom of my family
Thomas Jefferson (1743 - 1826)
Many men can make a fortune but very few can build a family.

Now there are 5.
Welcome to our journey.
I am the mother of three and wife to a wonderful husband. My boys are ages 3 and 5, and my girl is a mere 6 weeks old. This blog will chronicle our daily lives and adventures. I welcome your comments and questions, and thank you for stopping by!

Today is my first day back at my job since giving birth. I have been gone a total of 10 weeks now, and it doesn't feel like near long enough. I miss the babies. I got very comfortable in the staying at home mentality. My kids are my life.
They are...
my 5 year old.
He is my knight in shining armor.
my 3 year old.
He is my entertainment.
my 6 week old.
She is my light.
My husband and I have been together since the beginning of time. At least, it feels like it. We have an incredibly happy family, although the chaos sometimes overwhelms us. We are the two most fortunate people ever. We have three beautiful children, a nice home, and all the creature comforts you could ask for.

What's Webster got listed in his big book that can accurately convey how hectic your life is with 3 kids? A simple 6 letter word like hectic just doesn't seem to define it well enough.
Chaotic
Frenzied
Tumultuous
Madhouse
Yes, that's it. Madhouse. It's a madhouse raising 3 kids.
Our youngest is only 8 weeks (as of yesterday) and she's just now starting to "get it". She goes to bed at a reasonable time, she's getting predictable for feeding and fussing, and she's starting to become a joy while awake. Her schedule of sleep, eat, cry, sleep, eat, cry has now turned into sleep, eat, smile and talk for an hour, then sleep again. I'm digging it. This is truly one of the best parts of the first year. We'll try to enjoy this until she hits the yelling and crawling stage.
My oldest is now 5 and he's starting kindergarten next week. We're very excited about his new adventure, and hope it turns out as well as his time in preschool did last year. He had so much fun, and so did we. Great teacher, fantastic kids...lets hope for the best this year too. Orientation is tonight, and we'll get to meet her and see his classroom. We've been having some deep philosophical discussions this week too...
Will he have a desk or a table and chair? Will he have his own cubby to store his things? Will he want to eat lunch at school or brought from home? What's a meatball sub? (found on the school lunch menu)Did you know that a bunch of new friends are like a bunch of cookies...except you can't eat them?As a result of this new school year, our 3 year old will have to step up to the plate as the older brother during the day. Big Man will be gone from 9am until 4pm, so Little Man will have to be the one to watch over things. I think he'll do well, since he's already been practicing for the job during the last 2 months. He's pretty good at it too...he usually tries to tend to Little Girls needs before I can get to her to do it myself.Looks like we've got an interesting couple of weeks ahead of us. Let's hope for smooth sailing.
