I searched the moon
for your smile
but all I saw were
empty craters.
I ran to the beach
to hear your gentle words
but all I heard was
the ocean roaring
in my ears.
I smelled the delicate
flowers
but a bee buzzed from

its centre
and stung my
tear stained face

I looked for you

I searched for you

I reached for you
