For the grinches who try and steal Christmas
December 23rd 2007 18:31
As this time of year is known as the silly season, I am going to devote some of my time writing about the idiots who tend to try and make this joyous time of year as miserable as they can. I, of course refer to those who have tried for years to rip the CHRIST out of Christmas. They complain about CHRISTmas trees being up, shops displaying "Merry Christmas" signs or Christians having any kind of public displays of worship (even though the trees and santas don't actually have anything to do with Christianity). It is the idea of promoting Christianity that gets some people to act the fool.
To give a perfect example, some clowns in high places have decided to stop their workers saying "Merry Christmas" to customers. Instead it has to be "Happy holidays!" Oh really? Here's my sugggestion, if you don't like Christmas or what it represents why don't you say "To hell with Christmas! I'm not going to have any holiday this end of year, I'm not travelling, my family won't get gifts. In fact this year I'm going off to work just the same!" ? If you don't like it don't support it. Here's a better idea why don't you just hide for the next few weeks so we don't have to listen to you whinge and b***ch about what your religion or your lack of faith isn't getting from it. Do you hear Christian begging to be a part of Ramadan or the festival of lights or passover? No. Simply because it's not ours to be a part of.
Which leads me to Mike Huckabee and his Christmas ad which showed a shelf that looked more like a cross. I say "so what does it matter if it loked like a cross?" Are we forgetting that he is a baptist preacher? Is he supposed to hide his faith like it doesn't matter? The man isn't forcing anything down anybodys throat it is an expression of his faith. If you don't like it...well don't vote for him. Simple.
Finally, to the fools who told Santas to not say "ho ho ho" anymore, what does santa say now "Ha ha ha Happy holidays"? It proves that you aare truly all tip and no iceberg.
