WERE THE LOSERS ROBBED?
October 2nd 2006 12:03
We all love to recap the game...I hate the game and I want the dirt.
Let's face it EVERYBODY loves dirt!
I am talking about the 2 big grand finals...the AFL and the NRL. Sure i only watched parts of each game and I was more concerned about the potential for shopping while the pubs were full (you know less people in stores).
That wasn't so - but it was my first saturday out in months - and the entire social atmosphere was a reflection of the football.
So - did you watch either game? Did you care? Did you even know what was going on?
I did - but only just.
And the result...Swans lost the AFL by 1 point
The Melbourne storm lost the NRL by 7 points.
So now it's game wrap up time...the panels are talking, they are saying things like "where does the ref get off making that call" and "that was a sheppard"
and utlimately "they were robbed".
Were they?
I think the Swans made a great comeback but well it just wasn't their day...but as for the NRL...well, there were a few dicey calls made and those determined the winners on the day.
What do you think?
I'm not a lover of either game but I love to hear the talk the next day.
Nothing can be changed now but can our words shpe the refs next call?
